a.simple present

simple present adalah tenses yang digunakan untuk menjelaskan kejadian yang teratur,rutin,atau kebiasaan yang terus terjadi sehari hari 

 Fungsi simple present 

• General Truth: kebenaran umum atau kebenaran yang mutlak.contoh:water freezes at zero degress.
• Habits (kebiasaan). contoh: my father goes to work every weekdays
• intruction (perintah atau instruksi). contoh: Do not enter this area!
• Fixed schedule (sesuatu yang sudah terjadwal atau sudah pasti terjadi). contoh: the show starts at 7 pm.

Struktur 

1. Positif: Subject + Verb-1 + Object Contoh: I eat an apple every day. (Saya makan apel setiap hari.)
2. Negatif: Subject + do/does + not + Verb-1 + Object Contoh: She does not like spicy food. (Dia tidak suka makanan pedas.)
3. Tanya: Do/Does + Subject + Verb-1 + Object? Contoh: Do you play the guitar? (Apakah kamu bermain gitar?)

Kalimat Positif:

1. I eat rice every day. (Saya makan nasi setiap hari.)
2. She plays the piano. (Dia bermain piano.)
3. They live in Jakarta. (Mereka tinggal di Jakarta.)
4. The sun rises in the east. (Matahari terbit di timur.)
5. My cat likes to sleep. (Kucingku suka tidur.)

Kalimat Negatif:

Simple past tense merupakan salah satu jenis tenses yang digunakan untuk menunjukkan suatu hal di masa lalu.

Fungsi past tense

Menyatakan peristiwa yang terjadi di masa lalu dan sudah selesai.

1. Positif: Subject + Verb-2 + Object Contoh: I went to the movies yesterday. (Saya pergi ke bioskop kemarin.)
2. Negatif: Subject + did + not + Verb-1 + Object Contoh: She did not study for the test. (Dia tidak belajar untuk ujian.)
